Welcome to our April newsletter edition!  April is a surprising month in Cambodia, as Khmer New Year is celebrated. This year, it started on 14th. Welcome to our July newsletter 2017. It is always a pleasure to update the achievement we have done over the past three months in our community. First of all, we would like to say a HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to our Fundraising board members; Sally and Georgie who have been on the HHA Inc. board for four years; and Rose, Charlie, Maja who have been on the HHA Inc. board for a year. We appreciate for their hard work on fundraising to support Human and Hope Association so much. Through their support we can continue running our projects to empower our villagers. April 2017

Welcome to our April Newsletter 2017. We would like to give you an update of our work from the last three months. Every year, April is the special month of our Cambodian people because our New Year has come. All Cambodians are excited to celebrate their New Year for three days, which this year starts from 14th. It is one of a big holiday in Cambodia. In order to celebrate our New Year and to thanks our staff for their hard work, Human and Hope Association gives seven days break to our staff, so they have enough time to enjoy New Year and travel to meeting their families’ members. October 2016

It has been more than three months that our organization runs entirely by our local staff. We are happy to update some news and what we have achieved from July to October this year to you. Our staff has continued to work so hard to improve our projects. We have seen the positive change with our education that our students can speak everyday English to their friends and teachers, our preschool children has remarkably grown into confident, sociable and very eager to learn kids; and also our vocational training that all of our sewing students have stayed in our program and will be graduated their classes very soon. July 2016

It is such a great July newsletter this year as we have some exciting news to update for you. On July 6th, Sally, previously our operations manager and advisor has left from HHA (and will be back to Australia) after working almost four years. July this year is also the 3 years anniversary of Sally and Georgie on our HHA Inc. board in Australia. They have done really great job with fundraising, and making awareness about HHA Cambodia. They have really great passion and commitment to support our organization grows which result helping our villagers to move out of poverty.  Also from July this year, HHA is entirely local staff operated who is committed to keep up the mission to empower our people to create sustainable futures. Through the experiences of our works and training for more than five years, we can say that our staff has enough ability to lead HHA for the next future.

October 2015

Welcome to our third newsletter edition in 2015. We are going to update as usual newsletter about what we have done and achieved for our three months work. After we close for six days to celebrate the Pchum Ben holiday, we reopen on the 16th of October. Our staff look cheerful and smiling face after meeting their family at their hometown and our education team are really busy with creating new textbook and planning the new curriculum for our new term. Welcome to our second newsletter for 2016. We are very pleased to update our work and what we have been achieving. This is the second time of our newsletter which is entirely written by Khmer. This is the great opportunity for them to improve their writing. We are so proud that we always building the capacity of our staff. Due to the resignations of two managers to seek for other opportunities, we were able to promote internally which mean our empowerment is working. July is the third month of rainy season period in Cambodia which will be continued three more months. The rain has been falling down and the farmers have been busy doing their rice farms and Human and Hope Association still continue doing the work to empowering our students and villagers to have sustainable futures through education, training and community support. Welcome to the April edition of our newsletter and first time written entirely by Khmer staff!
 A very happy International New Year celebrated in January has just gone for many people around the globe and coming up to this April 14th, which is a very happy, special and the biggest ceremony for Cambodia’s people of celebrating their New Year. To celebrate this Khmer New Year, Human and Hope Association will be closed on the 12th and reopen on the 19th. Six days off will provide enough time for our staff to meet their families and relatives at their hometown and enjoy with their new year after a very busy works at HHA. Our education team is now very busy of taking the final exam for our current students and recruiting new students for the next semester of our English program which will start on the 20th when we reopen. Welcome to our July newsletter! Firstly, we would like to extend a big thank you to all our supporters who donated funds to our new location. We have already started building, and are trying to get as much achieved before rainy season hits. We have hired local builders and security guards, including our poorest beneficiaries family members. You can be assured that your donations are not only contributing to the sustainability of our organization and safety of our students, it is also boosting the local economy! This newsletter is for the very first time written by all four of our managers. There are spelling and grammatical errors, and some sentences may need to be read a couple of times to be understood, however, we hope you will appreciate the effort it takes to write in a language which is not their native tongue. Welcome to the April edition of our newsletter! April is an important month in Cambodia, as Khmer New Year is celebrated. This means our staff and students who come from other provinces will go back to their homelands to spend time with their families, so we are closed for six days. When we reopen, we will be recruiting new students for the next semester of our English program, while our current English students sit their exams to determine whether they will move up to the next level. We are very proud to welcome you to the first edition of the Human and Hope Association (HHA) newsletter! Our aim is to send out a newsletter on a quarterly basis to keep our supporters up to date with everything which has been happening! HHA was founded two years ago by Director Hen Houn, his staff and former students with the primary objective to teach English and Morality to the surrounding community. Since then, we have evolved immensely to offer different types of classes to over 270 students daily. Our aim is to empower Cambodians to create sustainable futures through education, vocational training and community support which is all possible through the dedication of our staff, volunteers and supporters.
