Public Relations Coordinator

Overview

The Public Relations Coordinator is responsible for preparing media releases and gaining media exposure for Human and Hope Association Incorporated.

Time Commitment

The Public Relations Coordinator can expect to spend anywhere between 3 – 5 hours a month undertaking this role.

Reporting

This role reports directly to the President of Human and Hope Association Incorporated.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Draft and distribute public relations materials including media releases, media alerts, fact sheets and other materials.
• Focus on the anti-voluntourism and child protection message.
• Track publicity coverage.
• Work closely with the President of Human and Hope Association Incorporated for quotes, opportunities and speaking opportunities.


Events Coordinator (Canberra)

Overview

The Events Coordinator is responsible for holding a minimum of two events a year that will raise funds for Human and Hope Association Incorporated.

Time Commitment

The Events Coordinator can expect to spend anywhere between 3 – 6 hours a month undertaking this role.

Reporting

This role reports directly to the President of Human and Hope Association Incorporated.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and implement a minimum of two events a year in Canberra to raise funds for Human and Hope Association Incorporated. These could include barbeques, trivia nights, cocktail evenings and morning teas.

• Source sponsorship for events.

• Recruit and manage volunteers for events.

• Work with the President on ideas for events and how to promote Human and Hope Association Incorporated.

Overview

Corporate Social Responsibility Coordinator

Overview
The Corporate Social Responsibility Coordinator is responsible for engaging with the staff of their organisations to raise funds for Human and Hope Association Incorporated.

Time Commitment
The Corporate Social Responsibility Coordinator can expect to spend anywhere between 2 – 3 hours a month undertaking this role.

Reporting
This role reports directly to the President of Human and Hope Association Incorporated.

Roles and Responsibilities
• Raise awareness about Human and Hope Association Incorporated through conversations with staff
• Hold one fundraiser a year at their workplace
• Champion for Human and Hope Association Incorporated to be included in workplace giving
• Where possible, engage with other corporates to encourage workplace giving


Business Development Coordinator

Overview
The Business Development Coordinator is responsible for developing relationships with businesses in order to sell our ethically made handicrafts.

Time Commitment
The Business Development Coordinator can expect to spend anywhere between 4 – 8 hours a month undertaking this role.

Reporting
This role reports directly to the President of Human and Hope Association Incorporated.

Roles and Responsibilities
• Contact businesses and ask them to be stockists for our handicrafts
• Maintain an up-to-date list of businesses contacted and stockists
• Work closely with the President to ensure there is appropriate stock on hand
• Maintain ongoing relationships with stockists, including collecting payments and restocking handicrafts
• Source market opportunities in Sydney for a discount or no cost


Education Engagement Coordinator

Overview
The Education Engagement Coordinator is responsible for engaging with schools to encourage them to raise funds for Human and Hope Association Incorporated.

Time Commitment

The Education Engagement Coordinator can expect to spend anywhere between 3 – 6 hours a month undertaking this role.

Reporting
This role reports directly to the President of Human and Hope Association Incorporated.

Roles and Responsibilities
• Reaches out to primary and high schools to raise the profile of Human and Hope Association Incorporated.
• Fulfils public speaking opportunities, or organises for an advocate speaker to take on the opportunity
• Encourages fundraising opportunities through the promotion of the school’s section on the HHA website
• In high schools, raises awareness about the pitfalls of voluntourism and offers alternative options
• Ensures HHA’s values are promoted and are aware of our fundraising restrictions Note: This position requires a Working with Children Check
