We are pleased to offer presentations to groups on topics including:

  • Human and Hope Association’s work
  • Child Protection
  • “Voluntourism”
  • Sustainable Development
  • Principles of Empowerment
  • Education & vocational training as a tool for poverty reduction

Currently, we have speakers available in Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra. All presentations are conducted by the Australian board organisation, Human and Hope Association Incorporated.

Presentations can take the form of a simple speech, or a seminar style activity where we can discuss a range of relevant issues and factors. We are flexible in terms of the length of the presentation. We can also bring a range of ethically made handicrafts for sale.

In the past, we have typically presented to service groups such as Rotary and Lions. However, the content and delivery is flexible and can be tailored to any kind of group, including;

  • Social enterprise conferences
  • Educational organisations or clubs
  • Faith-based organisations
  • Workplace groups
  • Social/fundraising groups
  • Charity organisations
  • “Friendship” groups such as Probus

If you are interested in having us come to speak with you, please email us at australianboard@humanandhopeassociation.org.

Sally Hetherington joined Human and Hope Association as Operations Manager in late 2012 after seeing the potential in this entirely volunteer-run organisation. Over the next few years, she built it from the ground up with a team of locals, focusing on the core values of empowerment and sustainability.

In July 2016 she departed the organisation, enabling it to be entirely Khmer-operated. Sally is President of Human and Hope Association Incorporated and is available to speak in Australia and via webcast.
