Sokoung stopped being violent

Sokoung stopped using violence against his wife after attending our domestic violence workshop. He reduced his drinking and they now have a better relationship, setting a positive example for their four children who study at Human and Hope Association.

Chomrong is now a teacher

Chomrong overcame poverty and illiteracy to become a skilled seamstress and teacher, lifting her family out of poverty and into a new home. With our support, she gained confidence and life skills, while her children received education and better health. Chomrong's high-quality work earned her a reputation in her village and a job as our seamstress, providing an additional source of income. Her success has transformed her family's future.

Bronh grows his own food

Bronh overcame losing his leg to a landmine and his wife's crippling injury from an incorrect injection, working as a construction worker and silk weaver until COVID-19 caused them both to lose their jobs. With our emergency food package and the Home Food Garden Project trial, Bronh is now growing vegetables, supplementing his family's food supply and selling extras to earn income.

Srey Keo is top of her class

Srey Keo, a cheerful child from a remote village, is the epitome of self-reliance and independence. Despite financial constraints, she excels in her studies, consistently earning good grades and displaying a passion for learning. Srey Keo dreams of becoming a famous artist and credits her success to her love for reading and HHA Cambodia's educational program.

Chorvann is getting support to excel as a parent

Despite facing numerous challenges, Chorvann moved to Siem Reap and built a new life for herself and her family. With a small grocery store and her husband's income as a tuk-tuk driver, they supported their children's education. Chorvann's commitment to her children's future is unwavering, and her dedication to their education has not gone unnoticed. She participates in all of HHA’s workshops and often visits us to ask our advice for her children’s education goals. Her eldest son completed the highest level of English and is now in grade 9, while her other son completed the Khmer class and is now learning English.

Phally has increased her income

Phally, a mother of six, sells homemade Khmer cakes to support her family. Joining HHA's Home Food Garden program in 2021 changed her life for the better. With our support, she started growing her own vegetables and now earns around $4-$5 a day, improving her family's financial situation. Phally's success as a vegetable grower is a testament to her hard work and determination.
