Meet our Community: Pheary

Pheary with her son.

Meet Pheary, a woman who has faced numerous challenges in her life. Born into a family of eight, she knew from a young age that she would have to work hard to help support her family. Sadly, this meant giving up her education to work as a construction builder.

After getting married, Pheary and her husband continued to struggle to make ends meet, working tirelessly to support their family. But when they had a son, they knew they needed to make a change. They decided to move out and start a new life, hoping to provide a better future for their child.

Despite her determination, Pheary struggled to find work that she enjoyed and that paid well. That's when she heard about our sewing program and decided to enroll. Not only did Pheary gain new skills and knowledge, but her son also attended our education program, further improving their family's prospects.

Now, Pheary is proud to work as a seamstress at an ethical factory, where she earns a stable income of $350 per month. This may not seem like much, but it's a significant improvement from her previous work and has allowed her to provide for her family in ways she never thought possible.

Thanks to your donations, we were able to provide Pheary and her son with the education and training they needed to create a better life for themselves. Your support allows us to continue providing opportunities like this to those who need it most. Join us in making a difference today!
