Meet our Community: Sreymom
Sreymom working in her village.
Sreymom is a mother living with her family in a floating village. Despite her husband's work as a construction builder, their income is not enough to support their family's needs. As a housewife, she felt the need to contribute to their income by learning to sew. However, with little knowledge and skills, she struggled to find enough work to make a decent income.
Thankfully, Sreymom discovered our sewing program, which helped her develop her sewing skills and expand her opportunities. Despite facing initial challenges, such as learning how to ride a motorbike, she persevered and became a confident and self-sufficient woman.
With the support of our mentoring sessions, Sreymom was able to overcome her family's issues and set up her own sewing shop at home. Now, she sews clothes for her community and creates souvenir clothes for a local shop, earning approximately $200 per month.
By supporting Sreymom and other women like her, our project empowers individuals to become financially independent and contribute to their communities. Your charitable contributions can help provide more resources and opportunities for women like Sreymom to achieve their goals and support their families.
